On September 5, 2023, Rosemary Hayne threw a burrito bowl at Chipotle manager Emily Russell during a dispute at a Parma, Ohio, restaurant. The incident was recorded by customers. CBS News reported that a court later found Hayne guilty of assault. Judge Timothy Gilligan imposed a 180-day jail sentence with 90 days suspended, then offered to reduce another 60 days if Hayne worked at least 20 hours a week in fast food for two months.
