Meneses was transported to Ventura County Medical Center for treatment of gunshot wounds and remained in critical but stable condition. Police Service Dog "Al" received treatment for a minor cut.
The Oxnard Police Department released body camera video and a critical incident community briefing, identifying Anastacio Meneses, Officer Brandon Castillo, and K-9 Officer James Kitka.
